Where is my old tentmate Sir Ran Fiennes? Aka 'The Where is my old tentmate Sir Ran Fiennes? Aka 'The world's greatest living explorer' The stories around Ran's unknown whereabouts and welfare are very concerning and I really hope the right authorities can step in to clarify his wellbeing and help make sense of this situation. His sister last saw him in 2025 after checking herself into the same carehome to be able to get close enough to talk to him. His stepson wants power of attorney taken away from his own mother who seems to have hidden him away in another carehome under a fake name and is preventing contact from friends and family. I last saw Ran for a backstage catch up in 2022 ahead of one of his inspirational talks, despite Parkinson's clearly affecting him, he was still his warm and jovial self. The first photo shown here was us after our @marathondessables 250km Sahara crossing where we shared a tent for the duration. As we posed for this picture he turned to me with a grin and said "and I've even got the trademark fingers hanging over your shoulder" I hope that more exposure of this story can get results in the best outcome for Ran's welfare. Saying yes to adventures can lead to life-changing Saying yes to adventures can lead to life-changing experiences, and open doors you'd never imagined. It did for me. 12 years ago, after two years struggling with pain following a car accident, I signed up to race the renowned @marathondessables six back-to-back marathons across the Sahara, at that point I'd only run a half marathon distance, and had just 10 months to prepare. This opened up a whole new world, leading to highlights including: - raising tens of thousands for @annas.hope and other charities, - being tentmates with the world's greatest living explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes - speaking at Buckingham Palace as well as many schools, awards and events across the country - being invited onto podcasts to share my stories - launching @forestadventurecentre - making myself and my family proud Earlier this year I completed my first 100-miler and now have sights set for many more new challenges ahead. I still feel the pain and discomfort from that car accident even now, every day and night. It could have been easy to NOT start this journey, to use that pain as an excuse to stay comfortable and not aim so far beyond my comfort zone, but then I would never have found such purpose, realised so much more potential and in turn created opportunities to inspire others to get outside and challenge themselves... That's one hell of a runway for @harrystyles, a go That's one hell of a runway for @harrystyles, a good job he's been training for it. Went to see the man himself with @margaret1.t @alisonthompsonartist @sarahjk1828 and it was a really fantastic show, I'd definitely recommend it even if you don't think you're a Harry fan. It was a real celebration and mix set of music and the arts, percussion, strings, dj'ing, plus a lot of screaming girls and ladies of course. We were also treated to the legendary @shaniatwain supporting and showing she's still got it, with a few classics to sing along to. #harrystyles #wembley #funcle #harrystylesliveontour

Motivation and inspiration are key elements in encouraging young people to strive beyond their limiting beliefs. As a guest speaker on our National Citizen Service courses; the group listened attentively as he talked them through his various exploits as an extreme adventurer and charity fundraiser. His stories of completing the Marathon Des Sables and spending a week challenging alongside Sir Ranulph Fiennes as he became the oldest UK citizen to complete the challenge held his audience spellbound. A true motivational speaker.
